Why should I use Bee Nice beeswax wraps instead of single use plastic to store my food?

What do I use them for?

The main purpose of reusable beeswax wraps is to preserve food but you can definitely get creative including wrapping sandwiches, half cut fruit or vegetables, bars of soap for travelling.  Covering mason jars, bowls and plates or packing snacks for lunches and picnics.

Small: 6” x 9" - Perfect to wrap small fruit like avocados, apples and cheese as well as small bowls

Medium: 10” x 10" - Perfect for medium bowls, larger fruit or veg like melon, cabbage

Large: 11” x 14" - Great for larger bowls, plates, leftovers

How long do they last?

Your beeswax wraps can last from 6 months to a year depending on how frequently you use them and if you hand wash in cold water with mild soap.

Can I put my beeswax wraps in the microwave?

No they cannot be used in the microwave


How do I take care of my beeswax wraps?

After use, gently wipe or rinse your beeswax wraps in cool water with mild dish soap them hang or lie flat to dry.  Avoid using hot water and other cleaners.

How do I get them to stick?

Use the warmth of  your hands to mold and shape your beeswax wraps and to help make them stick. Also, be sure to let you food cool before covering and apply to room temperature bowls and dishes rather than cold as this will prevent the wraps from sticking as well as they should.
